In 1923, KLÖCKNER S.A, a subsidiary of the German company with the same name,

started doing business in our country. At the beginning, marketing of iron and steel
products such as steel plates, iron structural shapes, and tubes and pipes was the
main activity. Later industrial hardware items were included and finally we started
with the manufacturing and sale of metallic openings and furniture. |

In 1987, KLÖCKNER S.A was taken over by M. ROYO S.A giving rise to

KLOCKMETAL S.A, whose entering the market caused constant growth and development,
allowing it in the short term, to consolidate as one of the reference companies
in the fields of distribution and marketing of iron and steel products. |

This, is turn, offered the possibility to obtain important official distributions
of leading

companies in the country such as: ACINDAR S.A, SIDERCA S.A (TENARIS today) and SIDERAR S.A. Simultaneously, KLOCKMETAL S.A has also positioned as one of the main companies
importing steel structural shapes and big diameter seamless pipes. |
